Naga Venkatesh directed Narathan a Tamil cinema. The cast includes Nakul, Nikesha Patel, and Premgi Amaren, while the music is composed by Mani Sharma. The film is described as an action thriller with a touch of humor.
The film begins with Nakul meeting upon Nikesha Patel at the Coimbatore Railway Station. His parents had previously planned his wedding in Chennai. Nikesha was being harassed by some attackers, but hero Nakul saves her from their hands.
Nakul saves Nikesha, but in the midst of the chaos, he is unable to see her. Later, Nakul visits his well-to-do uncle Radha Ravi, who had hoped to be a successful producer. Premgi Amaren, a filmmaker, is eventually called by Radha Ravi, and the latter narrates a storyline.
Then that's what happens that Premgi's storyline is quite similar to Nakul's life. Nakul and his buddies go out to meet Nikesha. He saves her from the villains' hands once more. Radha Ravi finds out what's going on, and Nikesha happens to be the producer's daughter.
Radha Ravi finally instructs his subordinates to return Nakul to him. The storyline continues with Nakul and Nikesha being pursued by both known and unknown villains. What does Nakul do at the end? To find out, watch the film.
