Rocketry tells the story of Nambi Narayanan's brilliant career as an ISRO scientist and how he was handled when a false case of espionage was imposed on him. The film tells the story of how one of India's finest minds suffers as a result of silly politics in the country, which not only harms the guy but also delays India's Mars mission by decades. Rocketry opens with a long shot that begins in orbit and travels down to Earth, where we meet Nambi's family. Madhavan, who is also making his feature debut, provides us a glimpse inside his protagonist's happy family with only a few lines of dialogue.
