Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Gujarat Titans by eight wickets in match 21 of the IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium, owing to superb innings from Kane Williamson.
Hardik Pandya's unbeaten 50 had lifted Gujarat Titans to 162 for 7 after being brought in to bat, but it was never going to be enough as Williamson, who hit his maiden fifty of the season, powered the Sunrisers' chase, which they completed in 19.1 overs.
By defeating Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, the Sunrisers secured their second consecutive win, while the Titans suffered their first setback after a hat-trick of victories.
Following the encounter, the Sunrisers are still in eighth place with four points from four games, while the Titans are in fifth place with six points from four games.
