Corona Virus: Mega Booster Vaccination Drive Begins

PM declares booster doses for frontline staff and the 60+ elderly. In the wake of the danger from the Omicron variety, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced precautionary additional Covid19 vaccination doses for healthcare and frontline workers throughout India on Saturday, stating that they may be at a higher risk of catching illness.

In a speech to the country, he stated that the precaution dose will be accessible on January 10 next year for individuals aged 60 and with ailments on the recommendation of their doctor.

The precaution dosage is a third dose of the vaccine for those who have been completely vaccinated, although Modi avoided using the word "booster dose," as it is often known.
