KKR beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets

 

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six wickets in Match 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

KKR lost two wickets early in their chase of the 116-run mark, but a 55-run combination between opener Shubman Gill (57) and Nitish Rana (25) helped them regain control of the game.

Gill also achieved his first fifty of the season and experienced wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik (18*) established himself as a finisher yet again, batting till the end with a strike rate of 150. Earlier, when bowling first, the KKR bowlers put up a fantastic effort with the ball, with everyone except Sunil Narine getting wickets. However, Narine was the most economical bowler, giving only 12 runs in four overs.
