Taana is similar to an open-world game featuring an original mission and several side quests. Taana was directed by Yuvaraj Subramani. Cast includes Vaibhav Reddy, Pandiarajan, Yogi Babu, Nandita Swetha, Hareesh Peradi.
A young man with a strange voice disorder becomes a cop and goes up against a gang of fraudsters. Shakthi's aspiration is intergenerational, not individual. Shakthi has to make up for his father Pazhani's (Pandiarajan) incapability to become a cop, as his great-grandfather was one of the first police officers before Independence. He is self-conscious about his voice and blames everything on his father. Their relationship, on the other hand, is hazy, and their interactions appear forced.
Taana dabbles in a variety of genres but doesn't do any of them properly. Depending on how you look at it, the artificially linked side tales either slow down the picture or make it a film with enjoyable diversions.
