Men in Blue Team India Stormed into enter Tri-Series Nidahas Trophy finals, after beating Bangladesh 17 runs in the 6th match. Chasing the 177 total, Bangladesh short of 17 runs, they finished 159/6. It all set up strategy by their skipper Rohit Sharma who played an outstanding in the first innings and their bowlers followed it up and ensured they come out on top.
Mushfiqur Rahim who batted brilliantly with Srilanka, he continued his form in the match and he scored unbeaten 72 Runs not out.
Stars of the match are Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Washington Sunder.
Bangladesh won the toss and offering India to bat, Rohit Sharma and Dhawan gave a solid start. Dhawan was clean bowled by Rubel after urged a 70-run partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma.
Suresh Raina then came in first down and joined Rohit Sharma, and the duo played sensibly and moved score board. In the process, Rohit completed his half century in 42 deliveries India 91/1 and helped India to cross 100 run mark in 14th over. Raina also played as expected from him.
On the other hand, Bangladesh bowlers struggled right from the start little bit, the fielders failed to restrict the Indian batsmen, thanks to some sloppy work on the outfield.
Chasing 177 was never going to be easy on a wicket for Bangladesh batsman, Tamim Iqbal though continued playing his shots and got the Bangla Tigers off to a flier. However, Washington Sunder magic spell, as he picked up three big Bangladesh wickets in the Powerplay.
After Getting the Man of the Match, talking to post match presentation, Rohit Said It was important for me to step up in this game after failed to score big numbers in the previous matches, i tool time initially and played my natural shots. (Rohit Sharma hits 5 sixes and 5 fours)
Taking about the bowler’s performance, hats off to Washington sunder, it was not the usual wicket what we got, definitely on the slower side. One set batsman must bat as long as possible, because the new batsman will be tough.
